Your privacy is important to Acadental. This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we collect through our website, products, software applications, simulations, and related services, and how we use, protect, and share that information.

We treat personal information as confidential and do not sell, rent, or trade it to third parties. We may disclose personal information only as described in this Privacy Statement or as otherwise permitted by law. We may share personal information with:

SMS and Mobile Information

Mobile information, including mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent, will not be sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent is specific to communications from ACADENTAL, Inc. and will not be transferred to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we strive to protect personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Your personal information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which it was collected. When we transfer personal information across borders, we implement appropriate safeguards designed to protect that information and comply with applicable data protection laws. Where required by law, you may request additional information regarding the safeguards used for international data transfers by contacting us.

Data Retention

Your personal information will be retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a period of time thereafter as required by applicable local law or where we have a legitimate and lawful purpose.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request deletion of your personal information

Public Areas

Certain features of our website, products, or services may allow users to post content that can be viewed by others. Please use caution when sharing personal information in public or shared areas. Do not post personal information about other individuals without their consent.

Third-Party Websites

Our website, products, or services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Changes to This Privacy Statement

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our website, products, or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Statement.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of first-party cookies and similar device storage to operate our website and to support the features you ask for, such as signing in, keeping your shopping cart, and showing the right region. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking services on our website.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Most web browsers allow you to manage or disable cookies through browser settings. Please note that some features of our website, products, or services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

The cookies we set are:

  • Sign-in and account session
Keeps you signed in and identifies your account to our commerce and licensing services. Set only after you sign in; expires after 7 days or when you sign out.
  • Sign-in security (sso_state, sso_verifier, sso_return_to, sso_sync, sso_silent)
Protects the sign-in exchange against interference, returns you to the page you started from, and stops a failed sign-in from retrying in a loop. Set only around signing in or out, and discarded shortly afterwards.
  • Single sign-on indicator (aca_sso, sso_uid)
Lets our related sites recognise that you are already signed in, so you are not asked to sign in again. It holds a one-way, irreversible marker derived from your account identifier — not your name, email address, or password. Shared across our subdomains; expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
  • Shopping cart (_medusa_cart_id)
Remembers the contents of your cart between visits. Set when you first add an item; expires after 7 days.
  • Shipping region (aca_region)
Stores a two-letter country code so we can show the correct pricing, availability, and shipping options. Expires after 7 days.
  • Page delivery (_medusa_cache_id)
A randomly generated value used only to keep one visitor’s cached page data separate from another’s. It is not used to identify, profile, or track you, is never shared, and expires after 24 hours.
  • Access gate (login_unlock)
Used only during periods when sign-in is limited to invited users. It records that you followed a valid access link, so you are not asked for it again. Expires after 30 days.

We also store a small amount of information in your browser’s local storage to remember things you have asked us to remember — for example your recent searches on our site, and work in progress in our product tools. That information stays on your device.

Where our pages embed content or services provided by other companies, those companies may set their own cookies when that content is used. On our website this is limited to product videos, which load only after you choose to play one and which we serve through YouTube’s no-cookie playback domain, and to our payment provider’s software on checkout pages. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. For more information about managing cookies, please consult your browser’s help documentation.
