Frequently
Asked Questions:
Can you remove the natural teeth that are set in with Fixing Gel after you are
done practicing and place new teeth in the ModuPRO Endo modules?
Once
a tooth is mounted in one of the ModuPRO Endo sockets for real teeth, the particular
tooth cannot be removed. The Apex Putty and Fixing Gel were specifically developed
to meet exact requirements, one of which is to prevent removal of the tooth
once mounted and inadvertently becoming loose when affixing a rubber dam, for
instance. Please note that there are several sockets to mount practice teeth
as well as additional backup teeth you may need if using for an exam. In addition,
modules can be individually purchased at a nominal cost, if needed.
I
have a non Magnetic Quick Release ModuPRO Endo model, will the magnetic endo
modules work with my model?
Yes. The Magnetic Quick Release modules are intended to work with previous versions
of the ModuPRO, including the models utilizing screws and the Quick Release
bar.
What
is the difference between the MPE120 MQR ModuPRO Endo Kit and MPE100 ModuPRO
Endo Refill Kit?
The
MPE120 ModuPRO Endo Kit is designed for someone who does not have the aluminum
Carrier Trays. The MPE100 refill kit does NOT include aluminum Carrier Trays.
The MPE100 kit is designated for someone who has previously purchased the ModuPRO
Endo Kit and just needs additional modules, Fixing Gel and Apex Putty. It is
more economical to purchase the refill kit than to purchase each item separately.
Which
simulation systems fit the aluminum Carrier Trays?
Nearly
all simulation systems used today fit the Carrier Trays. This includes standard
1/2" post mounts (when attached with an articulator); Frasaco Phantom heads
with a center-mount screw; Nissin Kilgore with magnetic mounts and KaVo G40
with magnetic mounts. If you have a particular simulation system that you want
to fit to the Carrier Trays that is not listed, please contact us for additional
details.
